On Pins and Needles

We are down to the final three days of Spring Training. Every day of the past week we thought we would hear something about where we would be heading for the season. We'd psyche up. Hear nothing. And then try to wind down. After a day or two, that gets very exhausting.

But with only three days left, the emotional pressure cooker of spring training is simmering down. The Nationals have finalized their 25-man roster, so the minor league rosters should be set by tomorrow or Saturday. Sunday is the last day of camp.

Josh feels like he has had a great Spring Training and we pray that his efforts will be sufficient to earn a spot on the AA roster. While we know that there are lots of factors in play: the sheer number of players needing a roster spot, the trickle down effect, etc., etc., etc., we know that God has a plan and a purpose for us. If He wants us to be in Harrisburg, we will be.

And you shall eat and be full, and you shall bless the LORD your God for the good land he has given you. Deuteronomy 8:10

We look forward with anticipation (and a bit of trepidation) to the "good land" that the Lord has in store for us.
